TripAdvisor reveals 10 US attractions

TripAdvisor has recently released their top US spring attractions, as rated by consumers. We take a look at the top 10, which offer a number of activities and business growth.

10. Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, Colorado

With a 42 percent traffic increase year on year, Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs is a natural landmark, providing historical and educational views on geological formations created thousands of years ago. Popular with sports enthusiasts, visitors can go hiking, mountain climbing, Segway tours, but can also take a jeep tour from $80 per person. The park and visitor centre are free to visit.

9. Havasu Falls, Supai, Arizona

Situated within Havasupai tribal lands, the Havasu Falls is located at the Grand Canyon, providing stunning views of the landscape and waterfall, with a number of historical and cultural guides.

With a number of tours and packages on offer, the location is popular with hikers, and booking is required in advance. A local camp is also situated nearby. 

8. Disney California Adventure Park, Anaheim, California

Popular for all the family, Disney’s California Adventure Park houses thrill seeking rides, dining facilities and attractions over seven different sectors, covering 72 acres in total. With a 44 percent traffic increase year on year, the park continues to provide entertainment and joy, being one of the most popular entertainment parks in the world.

7. Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona

With an Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Day Tour on offer from $199 per person, individuals can take stunning photographs of the canyon and learn about the geology of the area which has become sacred to the Navajo Tribe. The tour is highly recommended by TripAdvisor users, with helpful guides on offer to provide an unforgettable experience. Consequently, the tour has seen a 45 percent increase in traffic year on year.

6. Grand Canyon South Rim, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

With tours on offer for $100 per person, the Grand Canyon South Rim tour is popular with hikers and sports enthusiasts who want to challenge themselves, with several trails on offer.

5. High Roller, Las Vegas, California

Owned by Casesars Entertainment Corporation, the giant ferris wheel spans 550ft, becoming the tallest ferris wheel in the world, providing stunning views of Las Vegas. Visitors can book The High Roller at The LINQ for $20 per person.

4. Kualoa, Kaneohe, Hawaii

With a 65 percent traffic increase, the Full-Day Kualoa Ranch Adventure is highly popular, and is the scene of several films, such as Pearl Harbour and Jurassic Park. With plenty of tours and attractions on offer, there is something for everyone.

3. DC Trails, Washingto DC, District of Columbia

Visitors can jump on the Washington DC Essential Hop-On Hop-Off Tour to see vital cultural and entertainment venues in the capital at $42 per person. With 20 stops, the tour runs seven days a week. Even night tours are available, leading to a 65 percent traffic increase year on year.

2. New York Your1, New York City, New York

With a number of tours on offer, visitors can explore New York easily with the knowledgeable and passionate guides to highlight a number of cultural, historical and entertainment venues throughout the city for only $35 per person, providing a 73 percent increase year on year.

With an impressive 110 percent increase, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Tennessee attracts thousands of visitors per year, and has become the number one most favoured tourist attraction in the US, according to TripAdvisor users, with a number of musical attractions on offer. Visitors can book a one-hour behind-the-scenes Grand Ole Opry House Backstage Tour on TripAdvisor from $25 per person
